About Us
Low Water Campground (also referred to as Long Bottom Ford Campground) is a primitive camping area in Mountain Rest, South Carolina, within the Sumter National Forest. Here’s what you should know about camping there:
Key Features:
Location: Low Water Bridge Road, Mountain Rest, SC.
Access: The campground is about 7 miles northwest of the Stumphouse Ranger Station. From Highway 28, turn onto Low Water Bridge Road, and the campsite is half a mile on the left.

Camping Rules
First-Come, First-Served: Reservations are not available; spots are assigned as campers arrive.
Stay Limits: Camping is limited to a maximum of 14 consecutive days.
