Sorry for the late newsletter! It's been busy here at Low Water!
Low Water Campgrounds – May Newsletter Mountain Rest, South Carolina
Howdy, campers!
May is here, and it’s a mighty fine time to unplug. At Low Water Campgrounds, you won’t find electricity, Wi-Fi, or cell service—just campsites, an outhouse, a cold river, and plenty of peace and quiet.
Camp Notes:
River’s running clear and cold – good for dipping or tubing.
Campsites are shaded and dry – prime camping weather.
Outhouses are ready – please use responsibly.
No signal, no noise – enjoy the stillness.
🚨 Tubing Reminder:
If you plan to tube down the river from the bridge to the campground, you must fill out the short form posted by the swimming hole bulletin board. It helps us keep track of folks on the water and make sure everyone gets back safe.
Bring your own tube, and keep it safe out there!
Waterfall of the Month: King Creek FallsAbout a 10-minute drive and a mile-long trail takes you to this beautiful 70-foot waterfall. Cool mist, shady trees, and a great photo spot. Trail is well-marked and easy enough for most hikers.Local Tip: Early mornings are best if you want the place to yourself.
Coming Out This Month?
Be sure to bring:
Your own drinking water
Lanterns or flashlights
Bug spray (seriously)
Trash bags (pack it in, pack it out)
A good attitude and love for the simple life
That’s it from us. Keep it simple. See you around the campfire.
